The song
that I chose was Drive By, by Train. The album California 37 (where the song
comes from) was released January 10, 2012. The songs style is Pop Rock. The
Musicians/Instruments that play the song are:
Charlie
Colin: bass, guitars, background vocals;
Rob
Hotchkiss, guitars, bass, background vocals, harmonica;
Pat
Monahan: lead vocals, trumpet, saxophone, percussion;
Jimmy
Stafford: guitars, background vocals, mandolin;
Scott
Underwood: drums, programming, keyboards, and percussion.
The mood of
the song is fast with a slow middle 8. The structure of the song is:
1.     Introduction (riff)
2.     Verse 1
3.     Bridge
4.     Chorus
5.     Verse 2
6.     Bridge
7.     Chorus
8.     Middle 8
9.     Verse 3
10.  Chorus
The song
starts with a riff and a guitar plays it. The song is about a boy that fell in
love with a girl but one night they before she woke up he left. Now he is
trying to get her back in a car parade and singing the hook (Oh I swear to you,
I'll be there for you, this is not a drive-by). In the song the hook is repeated
6 times (chorus). The song Drive By is a memorable song, I personally like this
song because of the lyrics and the introduction. I think that the message of
the song was delivered in an effective way. This song was a big hit, I
recommend other people listening to this song because it a very cool song. The
first time you listen to this song you will want to hear it again, and again,
and again.
